What an adorable little girl! I can't believe how big our babies are getting--weren't we *just* pregnant?! And I have to ask, is that a professional portrait? If not, I need you to tell me what kind of camera you have, so I can put on my wish list!!
Thanks, Melissa. Not professional. The only professional photos we get of the kids (just boys so far) are at school. In general, we like our photos better. The boys had their photos taken at school this week, and I'm hoping it will be better this time. The photographer was really great, and had us help by getting the boys to cooperate. I usually buy at least one 8x10 for each boy, so they'll have them when they get older.
We have a Canon DSLR. I love it, but if I were to do it again, I'd buy one model down. It's significantly less expensive and much lighter. This camera is SO heavy that it's murder on my wrist. We also use a fill flash, sometimes with a diffuser. Outside photos always come out better because you just can't replicate the beauty of natural sunlight. Let me know if you really want the information, and I'll get it for you. If you are missing good pictures because your camera has a delay, the answer is a DSLR. It shoots instantly, just like a traditional camera, but it's digital.
I agree that it seems like we were *just* pregnant. Having such a good baby makes the time go by faster. Not saying the boys weren't good, just saying that the time went by VERY slowly. You COULD take that to mean I got to enjoy every minute - day AND night. :)
Yeah, I could assume you meant you enjoyed every minute with the twins, but believe me, I understand the need to sleep as well. I'm so glad to hear Elizabeth is an easy baby; it definitely makes parenting more enjoyable ;).
I agree--I like home pictures much better than professional ones (although I do buy school pictures, too). Your camera takes great pictures, thanks for the info. I'll look at the other model and hopefully buy one soon. Our camera is OK, but yes, it has a delay, and most of the time it makes me miss Jacob smiling, which is infuriating!
Melissa, I have a Canon EOS 30D with a Speedlight 580EX flash (for fill). The lens I'm using at the moment is a 17 - 85 mm. I consider it "ok." What I would probably buy, if I were to replace this one is Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera. The Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera is also good. Nikon makes some really good ones too. Choose carefully since you'll buy lenses to go with it. Even if you decide to upgrade your body, you can keep using the same lenses if you stick with the same brand. HTH.

She really looks big in her new dress from Wales. How nice of Roger and Nia.
She looks like she is about to start to crawl like that.
Just adorable!
Thank you! The dress is super cute. I don't think she's ready to crawl though, and I'm fine with that at the moment. :)

Thanks, it's definitely helpful!
Sweet girl. Baby talk, baby talk, baby talk. That's what I do when I see her picture.
She loves baby talk. She is such a smiler!
