Not a very exciting group of videos, but lets you see the kids if you're interested.

You leave her money on her chest as she's sleeping? So, I need to make her a purse now, I gather. Wish I could hold that angel. Boys enjoyed themselves, eh? Wish I could have been there, too!

Ha ha. Don't try to make me feel bad. We took the boys the house of misery, on one of Pat's very few days off! We DID enjoy watching them have fun, but can't say it's a first pick for us.

The videos were so cute--I can't believe the boys ate any pizza with all that stimulation! But, I have to say, at least in the video, the Chuck E. Cheese you guys were at seemed much quieter than the ones we've been to...could it be that in TX Chuck E. Cheese restaurants aren't a total assault on the senses?!! Or did the camera just not pick up all the noise?

Little Elizabeth is growing so fast! She looks so chubby and healthy--do you know how much she weighs now?

BTW, how many shifts does Pat work each week? Out here in CA, 3 12 hour shifts per week is full time for nurses, which works out nicely (although Elijah does put in overtime here and there, it still feels like he has a decent amount of time off).

ChuckECheese pizza is among the worst I've ever had. AWFUL. How do you mess up pizza?

I doubt our restaurant (if that's what they want to consider themselves), is any quieter. We made sure to go during the week and before 5. Maybe that helped?

The pizza wasn't great, but no worse than the Papa John's in Katy! The boys had fun so it was worth it.

Don't know her weight, but she goes back to the ped on the 31st, so we'll find out.

14 shifts per month is full time. Unfortunately, we have massive medical expenses not covered by insurance, so Pat is working at least 17, and sometimes 21 shifts. hard doing all this by myself, but I have to for now. We sure miss the Mississippi paychecks! Not kidding.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that FGH paid better than the TX hospital! CA hospitals have MUCH better nursing salaries than the ones in MS, although of course we have to pay more for housing, but even with that, it works out better here. Does Pat also work 12 hour shifts? Just 14 per month doesn't sound too bad, but when you add the overtime, I know it's hard. We've definitely had times over the years when I've felt like a single mom, still sometimes when Elijah works over, he's too tired to really do much at home, but we manage.

You don't regret leaving MS, do you? We don't, but looking at real estate prices for houses there makes my head spin!

Doctors make a lot more in Mississippi and Louisiana than they do in most other parts of the country. We took a huge pay cut to move here, but we agreed that it was in the boys' best interest. We didn't enjoy living there anyway and Pat's schedule at FGH was the last straw. Most ERs have 10 or 12 hour shifts. This one has 10. Pat NEVER works the standard 14. Medical costs prohibit it for us. Managing three by myself isn't easy, but I'm learning !

Regret leaving???? NO way. We miss the paycheck, wish we hadn't wasted so much time there.

Nurses do well here too and we have great property options!

I honestly had no idea MS and LA had higher dr's salaries than the rest of the country. I understand what you mean about the move being worth the pay cut. And I'm glad Pat doesn't have to work 14 hour shifts--the 12 hour ones are long enough! When we first moved to Chico, Elijah had to work 16 hour shifts (he was with an agency then). That was insane! It was one of those times I had to pretty much run everything by myself--I'm glad that's over.

I know Texas is nice, but I don't think we'll be moving ant time soon :). For one thing, we wouldn't be able to sell our house right now!
