Never mind the Doctor, what could he possibly have to say negative, you look great. I agree with Sandy, miss seeing those boys. Chin up you'll soon be finished with these weeks and have a beautiful little girl to cuddle. Love all much!
I WISH he realized that, Sandy. I can tell he's trying to be nice, but he's failing miserably!
This visit he looked so sad when he said, "this is just really hard for you, isn't it?" I must look REALLY bad. He always asks if I'm "really" taking my iron. Why would I lie? I know, I'm Caucasian. I know that I'm fair. I get it. I wish I had darker skin too. Everytime we leave, Pat tells me that the doctor obviously doesn't believe that I'm taking the iron.
Essentially each week, I go in and they remind me that I'm old, and then treat me like a child. He even "pats" me when I ask a question. Frankly, he's lucky that I'm emotional stable AND that we've already paid. I can't believe I'm stuck with this practice!
Hi Sonia, I AM sorry that this doctor is so disappointing. Just be glad that you have your OWN doctor in there with you; NO ONE could be better than having PAT with you! Love, Sandy :)
Sonia, you really do look great--I've *never* finished a pregnancy without gaining at least 40 lbs., and right now I still have to wear maternity clothes (or really big clothes--that is, IF I had any time to go out and shop for some!!). I bet you will be right back in your regular clothes a week after this baby is born! And I'm sorry about that doctor, what a bummer.
Thank you, Melissa and Meg. I think I've gained around 20 so far. Last time I gained much more, and it was so hard to lose the last twenty or so. Pat says the doctor is very skilled, but "old school" and practiced outside of the US for many years. We think this may explain the attitude. I hate the sympathy though. Save that for people who are sick, and deserving!

Other women probably look at you and think, "How does she DO it?" You look wonderful! (Don't you dare make a smart-alek response!!!)
I wish my doctor saw me that way. He always has pity in his eyes when he talks to me. CAN'T WAIT to be finished with his practice!
Hi Sonia,
Your doctor just realizes that you are a STRONG woman that really doesn't need his chauvinistic input!
You look great, so don't let him affect your excitement about this wonderful event, and especially that little girl who will make her appearance soon!
Can't wait to meet her!
How are the boys? Need to see them again. Give them hugs and kisses from Aunt Sandy!
Did the doc give you any practical input, like how accurate your due date is?
Stay strong and positive for these last weeks!
Love,
Sandy :)

Thanks, Sandy. Not too much longer with this office. I'll be glad to tell them "goodbye!"
You tell that obgyn that I said to stop that. He doesn't want me to come up there.
