Thanks, Sandy. From this picture I have learned: 1) I need more time in the sun 2) this shirt may be comfortable, but it's not flattering, and 3) no matter how hard you try, looking the direction of the sun causes inevitable squinting.
I haven't been online for a while, so am just now seeing this--you look great! And I like the shirt. This will sound crazy, but in a small way I miss my pregnant belly and feeling Jacob's foot sticking out all the time (he had a particular place where he always lodged it). But am of course SO glad to have him out...Maybe I just don't like being faced with all the flab I need to work on--it all felt so firm when he was inside!
Thank you, Meg. You're always sweet, and I appreciate it.
I understand what you mean, Melissa. I felt that way after the boys were born. I'm not sure if I'll feel that way this time or not. With twins, I felt really pregnant. With a singleton, I just feel fat. Hey, my stomach is firm right now too, and I am not looking forward to the aftermath. I remember last time being SHOCKED by how my belly looked after delivery. I recall the nurses massaging what looked like a mass of white biscuit dough. Yuck! They were surprised that I had no stretch marks, especially given my size at the time of delivery. They kept saying how "beautiful" my stomach looked. I thought - REALLY? Are you for real ladies? This mass of goo is repulsive - nothing beautiful here at all. They must say that to everyone! Hope your tummy returns to normal soon, and that mine follows shortly thereafter.
